Cadet Scouts

The Cadet Scouts Movement aims to develop good citizenship among our pupils through:

  • observation, obedience and self-reliance
  • inculcation of loyalty, integrity and thoughtfulness towards others
  • teaching of services useful to the public and skills useful to themselves
  • promotion of physical and mental development.
Membership is open to pupils from Pri.3. A pupil becomes a Cadet Scout by investiture during which he makes the Scout Promise. Before the investiture, he has to pass the requirements of the Scout Badge. He then proceeds to qualify for the Progress Badge as follows :

Bronze Standard ------> Silver Standard ------> Gold Standard --------> Akela Award.

Activities include drills, singing, games, hiking, camping and first-aid, as well as working on proficiency badges e.g. sportsmanship, book reader, photography etc.
